Axial Compression Performance of Square Tube Filled with Foam Aluminum

As a typical buffer energy absorbing structure, thin-walled tube filled with foam aluminum has good mechanical properties and absorption characteristics. Therefore, the axial compression performance of square was experimentally studied by quasi-static loading method. On basis existing experimental research theoretical analysis, strain rate is introduced into dynamic theory, mathematical model average crushing load under impact loads obtained. By comparing results simulation results, relative error state 2.8% 8% respectively. This paper not only proves that filling can significantly improve bearing capacity structure in process, but also provides more specific for design aluminum.
